Bill Robinson
Over the last couple days, this yellow/brown stuff has started to grow on the live rocks directly under our LED lighting in a Fluval Edge 6 gallon tank. Is this good or bad? Link to comment

jball1125
If it is indeed a diatom bloom then leave it alone, it will go away on its own. Link to comment
doppelganger
it's diatoms. if your testing and your ammonia and nitrite's are at 0 you can add CUC to deal with it. Otherwise just leave it. It's unsightly but will go away after a while and will probably be replace with green hair algae. It's normal and all a part of cycling. Link to comment
